The road to my city and my future
The meeting place is aimed at people with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF) and / or mental illness. The meeting place’s everyday life is entirely based on the initiatives, needs and interests you have as participants.
We can all agree that a meaningful everyday is important for everyone. As part of counteracting exclusion and working for normalization, accessibility and belonging, we at Urkraft in collaboration with various public actors have created a meeting place – where we want to work for the individual’s own role in society and belonging, we at Urkraft in collaboration with various public actors created a meeting place – where we want to work for the individual’s own role in society. We do not want to work with rehabilitation, but with the structure of everyday life and social skills, and stay focused on the life, health, home, work, education, leisure and culture. It all started as a Arvsfonden-project but today it is implemented in our regular operations and financed with our own funds.
Participants from all our projects and activities participate in the Meeting Place Urkraft and together we work to make Urkraft and society more accessible. You can become a support member of the Urkraft association if you are interested in or already participate in our activities outside of any project – and then you also have the right to vote on our participant councils. Each year we have at least four participant councils for participants and support members, to continue our development together.
